If you are a parent or teacher of children with trauma, ACEs, and anxiety, you already know that they need compassion, connection, and whole lot of extra patience.

But what do you do when you have a child with explosive and aggressive behaviors?

Sadly, many parents and teachers resort to holding or restraining students, or putting them in time out or seclusion, which ends up destroying the child’s feeling of safety and trust.

And the advice to “connect, then correct” just doesn’t help at all when correcting the child makes them even more explosive and aggressive!

I know this from experience.

At age 10, my son used to have intense, five-hour rages, where nothing I did or said made any difference to calm his dangerous meltdowns.

Therapists told me to call 9-1-1 as a last resort, which I did several times.

I still had to bring him home from the hospital, eventually.

Then the cycle would begin again.

That all changed when I started to understand what was really going on in his brain, body, and heart, so that I could stop the meltdowns, learn how to reduce and prevent them, and eventually eliminate them completely.

In the Explosive Episode Elimination Kit, you will learn…

  • How to stop explosive meltdowns once they’ve started, even if your child has very aggressive behaviors.
  • How to prevent these episodes from happening in the first place, so you don’t have to keep walking on eggshells.
  • How to reduce the length, intensity, and frequency of explosive episodes and eventually eliminate them completely.
  • How to identify your child’s triggers and work to solve problems together so that you can have a more peaceful, happy family life.
  • How to keep your own sanity, peace, and patience while you are supporting a child with intense needs so that you can help your child from a place of deep compassion.

Whether you are a parent or a teacher, dealing with explosive and aggressive behaviors is exhausting!

I’ve been there and done that, and I don’t want any other parent or teacher to go through what I went through searching for solutions for years.

I’m also tired of all the bad advice out there and all the blaming and shaming that caring adults have to deal with when they keep trying to implement advice that simply doesn’t help to calm out-of-control behaviors.

This one-day intensive workshop is designed to give you proven real-life, practical strategies that actually work to help you get to a place of calm connection so that you will enjoy parenting or teaching again!

You will leave this training with….

  • A deeper understanding of what is actually happening to your child or student during an explosive episode.
  • A renewed sense of confidence in your ability to handle even the toughest explosive episodes.
  • Practical, in-the-trenches strategies for staying calm and helping the explosive child calm down safely.
  • A step-by-step system to get your family or classroom out of crisis and moving towards growth and healing.
  • A plan for your own mental health and wellness so that you can stay calm and patient instead of getting upset, frustrated, and exhausted.

Who is the best candidate for the E.E.E.K. 2020 training?

  • You are a parent or teacher who really cares deeply about meeting children’s needs effectively.
  • You have some basic understanding of how trauma affects children’s behaviors, but you just have a hard time implementing strategies when things get explosive.
  • You believe in compassionate, non-punitive discipline practices based on building trust and effective communication.
  • You want to improve your parenting or teaching skills, and you are open and ready to learn new strategies and tools.
  • You are available on the date of the workshop (November 7), or you will commit to listening to the recordings and doing the activities as soon as possible for the best results.

Who is NOT a good candidate for the E.E.E.K. 2020 training?

  • You believe in traditional, punitive parenting and teaching that is focused on strict discipline, rewards, and consequences.
  • You believe the goal of discipline is to gain control of the child and make them obey adult authority without any discussion, compromise, or flexibility.
  • Your child (or student) is extremely dangerous and has had frequent episodes of feeling suicidal or wanting to seriously harm others physically or sexually, with no remorse.
  • Your child (or student) has an underlying medical condition that is causing the explosive episodes. The workshop may help you to some extent, but it will not be as effective without also obtaining effective medical treatment for any underlying condition. As always, consult a physician or other qualified medical professional for medical advice.
  • You yourself have a serious mental illness that affects your ability to parent or teach effectively. This workshop is for parenting tools and strategies, not therapy.
